Nordea 1 – Green Bond Fund will be merged into Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labelled Bond Fund

As a result of the merger, the merging fund, Nordea 1 – Green Bond Fund, will be liquidated. All its assets and liabilities will be transferred to the receiving Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labeled Bond Fund. The merger will take effect on July 2, 2024.

The merger will take place automatically and you do not need to do anything. If you have made a regular savings plan in the Nordea 1 – Green Bond Fund, we will automatically transfer it to the Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labeled Bond Fund.

The funds are registered in Luxembourg and the merger has been approved by the Luxembourg Financial Supervisory Authority.

Why are the funds being merged?

We are continuously working to improve our fund offering. The purpose of the merger is to simplify our fund offering which is done by merging similar funds.

The merging funds are similar fixed income funds that invest mainly in sustainable bonds. The funds have sufficiently similar goals and investment strategies. Their risk profiles match each other and they are suitable for similar investors.

As a unitholder in the Nordea 1 – Green Bond Fund, the merger will provide you with the benefit of a greater sustainability diversification since the Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labeled Bond Fund provides a larger potential proportion of social and other sustainable bonds.

How does the merger affect unitholders?

After the merger is completed, your units of the Nordea 1 – Green Bond Fund will become units of the Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labeled Bond Fund. Going forward, you will own the Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labeled Bond Fund.

As a consequence of the merger, the management fees and other administrative or operating costs of the fund will change as follows:

Trading with fund units

Nordea 1 – Green Bond Fund units can be bought and sold free of charge until the end of the trading day on June 21, 2024, after which the fund will be closed for trading. When the merger is completed on July 2, 2024, you can trade your units in Nordea 1 – European Sustainable Labeled Bond Fund.
